While it has been snowing like crazy in Boston, this is what we did today:

And later that day, during a walk out on the pier to get milkshakes at Ruby's, we were privileged to see a dolphin show! There had to be at least 12 of them hanging around the pier, and they drew quite the crowd.

Mariners Church Harvest Carnival

Every year our church throws an amazing Harvest Carnival on their Irvine campus. We went tonight with some of our friends and it was really fun! It's amazing how the church transforms...there were three different sections all filled with carnival rides, food, live music, petting zoo, etc. Laila is really still too young to enjoy herself at an event like this but we had fun nonetheless.

12 week ultrasound

Today Collin and I went in for our 12 week ultrasound and got to see a healthy baby bouncing around. Ultrasound tech gave us an early gender prediction of another girl, but we've had too many friends that have been tricked with that early prediction so we're not counting on anything for certain! We'll find out for sure, hopefully in mid-December at our 20 week ultrasound checkup. But, all that matters is that he/she has arms, legs, fingers and toes and everything looked right on target. Baby was even measuring 13w/1d (I'm 12w/3d) so he/she is growing strong :)

Pa's Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we took Laila to Pa's Pumpkin Patch in Long Beach.  She LOVED the abundance of huge pumpkins and ran around like crazy, up and down the rows and rows of pumpkins. She even got to go on her very first pony ride, went on the carousel with Dada, the train with Mama, and got up close and personal with some animals :) The lighting was really bad in the petting zoo area so those pics aren't the greatest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fun with Chloe

Aquarium with 2 Grandmas

On Monday Laila and I went to the aquarium with both of her grandmas. She had a lot of fun spending time with both her Nana and her DeeDee and got to see lots of fish. She even got to pet a shark and say hi to a scuba diver!

 

October Pool Day

Over the last week, it was in the 90's a few of the days.  We ended up having two "pool days" with Laila, which was so fun. The first time, we didn't go until later in the day, and the pool was too chilly for her so we ended up splashing in the "hot pool" for a little bit.

It's crazy how quickly you start showing the second time around. 
I don't know where it's all coming from since the baby is all of an inch long.

I'm going to be in maternity clothes before I know it.

A Laila Update

Laila's been a bit neglected on the blog lately so here's a few pictures from the last month or so. She is turning in to such a precious little girl. She just isn't a baby anymore, which is sad, but it's also so fun to watch her learn and explore as she grows up. She will be 14 months old tomorrow, which is unreal. She is walking great now, and saying a few words like "mama", "dada", "nana", "fish", "cheese", "please", and a few other random ones. She will make the sounds for a number of animals as well.
