After Laila's late nap today, we went outside to the backyard and Laila decided she wanted to go swimming.  We had maybe one of the most fun hours together we have ever had.  She was LOVING the super warm water (since the pool had been sitting in the sun all day), and was hamming it up for the camera. I love that little girl and her baby blue eyes so much!

(who am I kidding, this one is really for Collin)

6 weeks

Juliet was 6 weeks old on Monday and we had her well check yesterday.

stats:

10lb 7oz (70%)

(laila was 10lb 1 oz)

22.5 in (90%)

(laila was 23.5 in)

She is a strong, determined and healthy little girl!
She got her first vaccination today and did very well.
I also handled it much better than I did with Laila's!

She's rolling from front to back and very often rolls to her side from her back.

She is sleeping a 5-6 hour stretch at night, so a general night is 9-2, 2-5, 5-7:30/8.

She is smiling, cooing, and grabbing things. 

She is tracking voices, sounds, and objects well, and is more alert every day. 

She loves her pacifier and we have gone back to swaddling her for (some) naps and bedtime. 

She still has blue eyes and her dark hair is lightening by the day. 

She is mostly in 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.

Family Fun Day

On Sunday, we decided to play hooky from church (I know, shame on us), and decided to have a family fun day.  We started off the morning with a delicious breakfast at Mimi's Cafe (one of our favorite restaurants) and then drove down to San Clemente to walk around downtown and the pier/beach area. It was really fun, quality time together as a family.

Collin's 33rd Birthday

Collin turned 33 on Saturday so we hosted a party! It was a great way for us to celebrate Collin, have people see the new house and meet Juliet.  Of course it turned out that the Celtics vs Heat game 7 was on, so Collin went out that morning and bought himself a TV for outside to be able to watch the game. Happy Birthday to him! We had a great time enjoying fun with all our kiddos, watching the game (although the outcome wasn't what we'd hoped), eating yummy food and roasting s'mores by the fire.
